"Email is already used, please use another one"

Hi everyone, 

 

I don't know if it's the right category to ask this but I have a problem.

When a visitor wants to register as a guest, I have this error message and i can't go any further while I'm still getting registered in the database.

I have no idea where this can come from.

I have the same problem with the order form. I think it's linked with the guest.login.tpl file.

 

Can someone help me   ? Thank you !

Did you set to allow clients to order as guest?, so even when email address was already used in past orders, he can do it without login.

the error came from the theme i was using I think.

still don't know how to fix it. I upgraded to 1.7.7.4 with a custome classic theme. no problem anymore

I was able to solve it by locating the email that is causing the problem and deleting that email in the ps_customers table of the database, make a backup copy before touching anything
