Help with admin back page keeps requiring log in when I try to update catalog or anything

Hello and thank you in advance for any help or advice.  Just did a fresh install via ftp of the newest version and when I am trying to update or add images or click through the sections from time to time it will what seems like time out and make me log back in, this would make sense if I was taking too long between requests but it happens pretty often.  Has anyone seen this before and is there a fix for it thank you.
