Presta Shop 1.7.7.3 using Varchshop theme when adding product to shopping cart the qty resets to 1

Hi everyone, I am new to PrestaShop but have experience in web design, setting up my shop has been going well until the following I am using complex products , and when I try change the qty to more than 1 when adding to cart it automatically resets to one , so I can only add one to the cart , once in the cart you can increase the quantities. Any ideas, its stopping me going live with my shop
