Prestashop 1.6: How to change Top Search bar default name?

How can I change the default top search name on Prestashop 1.6?

I think this blog post should help you.  I just changed mine.

However, now I want to display the text ('ie 'search' ) permanently without having to click it.  I think my theme is doing this... will start new topic on that probably..

The post that you advise me to visit it doesn't work for me my website is Prestashop 1.6 not 1.7.

So, I think that your advise doesn't make sense.

The string of words won't fit you also need to make the search box wider.

Inspect element and look for the classes. The search could well be an extension of the theme.

thanks for the feedback Nickz but I think I accidentally hijacked this thread, haha.  I've started a fresh one on my topic here so that the original poster can get his /her answer on the 1.6 PS issue.
