pandazulweb
Hi guys, I'm trying to find advice and recommendations about server requirements, currently have a client that wants to migrate from 1.6 latest version to 1.7 latest version. This store have about 30K products and about 65K visits per month, Also currently is running every day an import of about 25K product full import with images Regarding point 2 was thinking about just import products that have been deleted/added and just sync modified (stock and price changes) in order to avoid the huge time-consuming -> regeneration of images. For this kind of store what about having the database in another server? A VPS with 8GB + 2 Cores + SSD disks will satisfy requirements? Kind Regards,
WilliamComonsoft
We have a client that has about the same traffic so I advise you to use 16GB or even 32GB if you want to be even more efficient and for the cores, I also think it's a bit light. You should rather prefer 8 cores minimum or 16 cores if you want to be efficient. About the database, it's not useful to have it on another server. Because 16 cores + 32GB could be quite expensive
WilliamComonsoft
The provider we chose is OVH but other providers have similar offers and it's up to you to choose the provider according to your needs, of course it's a bit expensive but if you really want performance it's the best to do. After that, it's up to you to see how much you are willing to put in and how much you want your site to perform.
