curtdonohue
I'm using PrestaShop version 1.4.0.17.I'm having trouble getting a "Wholesale" Group discount to apply to a customer I've placed in the "Wholesale" Group. Here is what I've done so far:1. Created a "Wholesale" Group. I now have a total of two groups: Default and Wholesale.2. Created a customer and set them to the Wholesale group only3. Tested the process in the Front Office to see if the discount applied and it failed to apply the discount.4. Went back and check the Group setting of the customer. It had changed from just "Wholesale" being selected to both "Wholesale" and "Default" being the selected Groups.5. I tried to edit the customer by deselecting the "Default" group. When I saved the customer, however, I received the following error message: "Default customer group must be selected in group box."It doesn't seem to make sense that you would have to select the "Default" Group, which in my case has no discount, and the "Wholesale" Group at the same time. It would seem that they may conflict with each other, which may be why my discount is not showing up.Any ideas?
curtdonohue
I solved the problem. My error was as follows:When I either created or edited a customer, I mistakenly thought that ticking the "Group" check boxes (just above the same button) was the way to select the correct Group. What I should have done was select the group I wanted from the drop down box called "Default Group," which is just above the "Group" check box section.
Dave Angel
if only every solution to prestaproblem was so easy... the forum moderators would certainly have more time on their hands...
