marcopolo11
Need help, while setting up SEO and URLs, I changed my domain's URL by adding https:// in front of the domain name and thereafter lost access to the store. I have fixed the URL from myphpadmin > fkku_shop_url > updated domain and domain_ssl values however post that, I get 500 error. Where else I need to correct it to regain access to my website? jetway
Check the .htaccess on the top folder level and enable debug to get an error message. Edited February 4, 2021 by jetway (see edit history)

JBW
Activate debug mode to see the error details
jetway
Well, it depends on what the actual issue was. That's why activating Debug is useful in such a case. It throws you the exact error message and helps to find the problem. Did you enable SSL from the Backend, or how did you do that change? You can select enable SSL on all Pages from the Back end. If you start manually updating things, it might result in a Server Error.

I turned SSL on from the host, the SSL and everything else was working fine until I tried to be smartass and changed url by adding http:// and https:// and then the site got broken. I would reinstall the site on sub-domain and repeat what I did earlier to see how I can fix such problem. Would keep this thread open for now. joseantgv
But have you already enabled DEBUG mode? Edited February 4, 2021 by joseantgv (see edit history)

marcopolo11
By the way, the newly setup site is now throwing errors after turning debugging on. Any idea what went wrong?
marcopolo11
I have installed prestashop thrice after this and each time, as soon as i turn debugging on, I run into this error. I have tried to review DbPDO.php line 165 but could not understand what exactly is wrong. Attached DbPDO.php in case it can be helpful. JBW
This is a core file managing the database connection and queries. Seems there is something wrong with your server/db setup, you should ask your hosting about it.

I have tried to repair db and fix permissions, that does not solve the problem.

I raised this issue with my host, they carried out tests for almost 2 weeks but could not detect the issue (as per them) however I experience it each and everytime I install prestashop on my domain. I am using auto-installer to install it, could that be the reason? What if i try to install it by dumping the file on root and then executing manual installation?
