Add « select attribute » option in size attribute

Hello all, (and happy new year)

I have a prestashop v1.7.6.8 with this theme : https://www.leotheme.com/guides/prestashop17/at_gucci/

Some products have variants (color & size), first i need to select one color and after i need to choose one size.

I try to add « Please select » option for sizes, actually the first size is auto selected.

Someone can help me to add this option ? i searched on this forum, google, etc. but i don't find one solution which work with my theme

Or i try to have default size attribute with instock only, i don't want default attribute with out stock, i try to update « getDefaultAttribute » but not working.

Hi, 

Welcome to the Prestashop eco!

The first point would be that Prestashop doesn't support that behavior. Once you have combination, the predefined option will be default combination. this as you noticed can abe a bumper as in case you run out of the default combination in stock, the client will get a page with the message of out of stock for the product (they need to change teh combination - but thats not visible, so it's a huge bailout part). 

What you can do is to use a Module like : 

https://addons.prestashop.com/en/combinaisons-customization/50019-change-default-combination-when-out-of-stock.html

but I like @tomerg3 approach as well :
