M R Hidayatulloh
Hi, I'm developing a bookstore, and I'm having a hard time deciding how to set up book authors. Several search results led me to outsmart using categories. However, is there a better way? or at least a module for that specifically set it up? Sorry for my english. Thank you! El Patron
Howdy, we did a large book company migration from proprietary to PS...we freaking rocked it.... ok... Features (use them), when we ported their data into PrestaShop (we are gawds) the team created Feature Authors and a lot more...pages, subject, grades(2), etc. the strength of PS is faceted search, and is how your can build a feature rich product catalog.......we also use amazzing filters modules from addons...but the native PS faceted search module works fine... here is an example category filter, followed by admin features....you of course then need to associate each product to their specific feature...but imperative for a bookseller..... Dont' ask me questions you might have unless it's about doing it some other way and well there isn't...when you do have a 'new' question' it's best to open a new topic! Always do that and you will have large community helping.. happy feature/filtering
M R Hidayatulloh
Hi, we appreciate your time. Previously I also used 'features', but we need a dynamic page for an author. With information about the author and a list of books he has written (more than filters). Thanks!

These whoever don't support filters, the OP discounts features because they cannot fathom how to make author page. When one clicks author then all all their books appear. Anyway, enough said. M R Hidayatulloh
Another problem also exists, sometimes a book is written by more than one person. If we use 'features', it will slightly spoil the 'beauty' of the product page appearance. Unless we make modifications to the css page. Thanks! Prestashop Addict
Hi, just create a authors category and subcaterorie by author (sample here). Then you can have any filters and multple authors on a product.
