migrate my store to a new server. settings.php

Hi

I am attempting to update the database information on my moved shop.
I am finding the my settings.inc.php only contains.

//@deprecated 1.7

All the database setting I need the amend are located in settings.inc.php.bck.

I am getting conflicting information like edit: app/config/parameters.php
But this I can't find.

Could someone point my in the right direction please?
