Luca883
Good evening everyone ... I am using ps 1.7 for the first time, I changed all the classic theme and I am practically done. Only after I read that, it was convenient to use a child theme, so as not to lose the changes in a future update. How can I fix it? Is it possible to rename "my classic" and copy a "clean" classic with ftp, in order to transform it into an added theme? In this way I will not lose the changes made? Thanks to anyone who will answer and sorry for my english

Yes it can be renamed (folder + in theme.yml file), but then you have a copy of classic theme and you would not benefit from any bug fixes during upgrades. It would just prevent you theme from overwritting during updates. The purpose of a child theme is that you do only changes on specific files and blocks where you really have changes. Everything else is inherited from parent theme.
