Install V1.4, Configure PayPal Module and make it work!

Hi I am new to this whole Prestashop thing. I downloaded a couple weeks before V1.4 was available, so I need someone to get V1.4 and the PayPal module all installed and up and running.

In my current version I have been trying to configure this regular PayPal module for a couple days and I am having no luck. In the mean time the new V1.4 is available, so I want to get the upgrade done and the PayPal working all at once.

Problems I am having:
I get the 'payment error' on the customer account page, I get $0.00 in the total price paid in the order history page, in the back office I get no notification of a new order (I dont think this is part of the system or possibly not set up yet), and I get the 'Warning Customer Paid $0.00 instead of $actual amount owed. The list goes on.

When I try to use the PayPal API module I get the 'error reporting from the PayPalAPI module' email and whole list of techno speak on the website.

I have read all the posts and stuff, and I am not a developer or savvy with this type of thing. I am at the point of scrapping the whole PrestaShop site and starting over. I would rather just get help from someone who has done this before.

Basically Im looking for someone to just install V1.4 and configure the standard PayPal for me and have it running with no bugs. Can any one do this?

I want this done like yesterday and I'm willing to pay a reasonable price.

Hi David @ gfe

After a lot of attempts, I decided to use the PAYPAL module distributed with the 1.3.7 Version of Prestashop
(My PS installation is 1.3.6)

At this moment i use Paypal v1.7.1 distributed with the 1.3.7 Version of Prestashop (without problems!)

Good Luck !! ;)
