Landing Pages pros and cons?

Have any of you guys used landing pages?

You know the funky all singing all dancing front page  that sits before the main shop / shops

A tidy GUI  that lists all our retail stores  with images links to Google 360 veiws of the shops  the staff  and a funky image block of categories, it all sounds too good what am I missing?  yes im aware most if not all can be acheived within Prestashop itself  but the the average retailer like me who can only just manage to edit the colour scheme im thinking this could be quite good and Ifound a module that will do just the job with excellent reveiws

What are the pro's and con's of landing pages is there anything that i should be concerned about,  im currently on1.6.1.24  and have  my store live now for maybe 6 years so was concerned about SEO's and how google would veiw such a change

Any thoughts on this?

Regards

Paul

is this the same El Patron that used to be on here? not sure if you recall but you and your team built this museum piece and only a couple of years ago, not all of us have endless pots of money to throw at shopping carts and constantly updating and most of us retailers are certainly not all skilled in the upgrade department, coding or basic template editing so we have to make do with adding modules for our customers entertainment,

Asking questions and seeking answers to possible pitfalls is the limit for some of us I actually thought it was a decent question and I suppose I was expecting a better answer than change the old decrepid site your team built me :)

Back to Google for me then I have been told

Oh yes we did build it, but luke many they become antiques and expect to compete without investment, did vapegreen also...

Endless pot of money, you got great shop cheap...stable and you have not yet destroyed what you could get back working.

Point is, you lack the modern tools to do what you want but don't know it, please consider I won't learn anything about e-commerce here nor do I have to ask questions, your welcome!
