Product description not showing up

Hi, i just installed prestashop and already facing a few problems.

Every time when i write a description in one of the categories, it is not uploading the text. It appears as a blank statement(even on admin board).

I know there has been posted a similar problems related to language settings. But i have tried to switch the languages and that is not the issue in this case.

Also i have a problem with deleting given(demo) categories, when i press delete a category, it gives me 3 options, does not matter which option i choose, delete button seems to be inactive, same happens when i try to delete categories using 'bulk actions'.

 

Do you have any ideas where to start from?
