Transfer order id to paypal

Hello,

i´m using prestashop 1.7 with official paypal plugin.
For our accounting we need the Order Numbers in the PayPal payments, so the Order Number should be transferred to PayPal
Since the order is created in Prestashop only after the payment has been received and the order number is created at this time, the process does not seem to allow this.
Are there any workarounds here?
E.g. when clicking on Order and forwarding to PayPal the order is created with Order Status = Wait for payment, so that the Order ID can be transferred?
I have seen that a payment status "Waiting on Paypal payment" exists, but I can't find a way to integrate it.
I also wrote paypal, but they can´t help.
