Combinations Tab in Back Office with no contents

Hello

I have a new installation of v 1.3. I was using v 1.4 but had a lot of problems so removed it and reinstalled 1.3. All was OK until I came to add my first product. I have created a new attributes group with four size attributes. When I click on the attributes tab there are no options at all just the links 'Back to the category' and 'Back to Home'.

I have read on other posts that this can happen if there are too many attributes but this is a new installation with one product and 4 attributes in the database and nothing else. I have deleted the product and tried again but with the same issue. I have even uploaded the entire prestashop installation again in case something was missed out but nothing seems to fix the problem.

I have other websites running on 1.3 without any problems but just cannot figure out why this is happening, so any help would be appreciated.
