cart rules

Hi everyone

I have a query on cart rules.  I have added a cart rule for a category and the products within it.  My problem is that if someone buys one of these products plus another product ( not on the list) the discount is applied to BOTH products.  How can I ensure that the discount is ONLY applied to the selected products.

 

I am using PS 1.6.1.0.

Hi andyramage,

if I remember correctly, 1.6 should have this same feature as it is in 1.7:
you have to choose category (or product/attribute/manufacturer) in tab "conditions" AND you have to select "select product(s)" in tab "actions". 

In this way the discount will be applied only to the products within the selected category.
