1.7 Admin pages not shown correct anymore

Hello
since I updated to 1.7.6.7, some admin pages do not show correct anymore. It looks like pulldown menus and tabs are broken. I did delete browser cache, but this is not the issue.
Any Idea what it could be?

Things did work OK with 1.7.6.3; problems are there since I updated to 1.7.6.7
Why does this compatibility-chart show PS version 1.7.7 and 1.7.8 while 1.7.6 is the latest one ???
Our server is on PHP 7.4 .... is this to new?

Yes, changing to PHP version 7.2 did solve the issue! Thanx for that.
