Flamme_2
Hi everybody. After a new clean installation in the latest version, I can't login to back office, I have "max_user_connections" database error. My hosting provider, Online.net, ask the value officially required for Prestashop. I can't found information in Prestashop documentation. Do you know the official value for "max_user_connections" database recommended by Prestashop developper ? Best regards,
Knowband Plugins
We don't think there is any such recommendations from the Prestashop. Its totally depends upon how much traffic do you have but in your case, it seems it not the case. Ideally for a normal website, user connections between 150-200 is sufficient (but It seems you hosting has set the max connections very low that even a single user can't access the website). Flamme_2
Thank you for your answer. Hum, my hosting provider offers three formulas for "max_user_connections" : Personal : 3 (yes three) Pro : 50 Business : 75. I just want a little shop for few month to begin and experiment Prestashop before create a big shop with high availability, redundancy & co. This is the reason why I went to mutual hosting. But your answer suggest, the best way is to use VPS or dedicate server. For me, with a little hosting, Prestashop would be slow, but functional. This is not the case. Prestashop keep open to more connection to work properly. Best regards,
Knowband Plugins
Initially if you are the development phase then 50 is also fine then depending upon the traffic, you can switch.
musicmaster
Maybe you should have a look at how quick connections are ended. My suspicion would be that they are kept open after the database access has ended.
