1.7 PS 1.7 - How to add "SOLD" label to product image?

Hi Everyone,

I can't seem to find a working solution to this for PS 1.7.6.

How can I display a "Sold" label/sticker on the product image - like how the "NEW" one appears in the classic theme?

I'd like it to either be a CSS style created sticker/label OR an image.

Can someone please assist (in English) as to how to go about doing this? I'm more than happy to do some coding to get this to work, but I don't know where to begin.

Thank you!   This works for what I wanted.  

Note to others.  This module is free, but has a PRO feature that you have to pay for.

In the free version, you can't align the label to the left/right or top/center/bottom.  It appears in the bottom and centre only. Which might be fine for some people.
