joaofarofeiro
Hi, I activate the sort of product by position. And then set positions of my products in categories. It works for most of them, but for one categorie have a problem. I check in the table ps_category_product and the position are fine. So i don't undestand, why, for one categorie it doesn't works. Is possible to change the way product are ordered for just one category ? Maybe this is a configuration somewhere for this category that i dont find ? JBW
In product catalog, first select the category on top left side and then re-order the products accordingly.
joaofarofeiro
I did this. I think it's because my products are on 2 category. One parent and one child. Product 1 is in 2 categories : - Categorie Bags : My Product as Position 2 (mistake here, my product is in position 1 on the front office) - Categorie Bags / Backpack (default) : My Product as Position 1 I have the feeling it mix the position of both categories for one product It's normal ? What can i do ? Thanks Edited September 10, 2020 by joaofarofeiro (see edit history)
musicmaster
One reason that caused such problems in the past was overlapping position numbers. If all products have position 2 it will be hard sorting them. I am not sure whether this bug is still there. Anyway, you can try sorting with Prestools. It fixes that kind of situations. joaofarofeiro
Hi @musicmaster, Thanks a lot. I tryied just now. The order i have with Prestools is good. But the order displaying on my shop in front is wrong. Problem of the theme ? Thanks
musicmaster
You should go to the product_sort page and once run do "Submit All". That will reset the position numbers and that way it might solve the problem for your shop front.

musicmaster
Ok, other question. At the top of each category page you have a sort switch. How is that set for this category? And what happens when you look on another computer/with another browser?
joaofarofeiro
Hi @musicmaster. Thanks for you help. - So i checked the sort switch and there is no default value. (note : it's hidden by a display:none, because we don't want to display it) To test, i check with relevance. This add the parameter ?order=product.position.asc to the URL, but still display the same order. - Same on other computers and browsers. Crazy, no ?
