Pointing client's last order status id

Hi community,

I'm a newbie in this universe, using Prestashop 1.6 with default theme, actually tuning my step-by-step checkout.

In order to display the right choice of carrier, I need to verify the status id of my client's very last order in date.

I guess I need to point that specific status id in the ordercontroller.php file, so I will be able to use it as a condition in order-carrier.tpl... am I right ?

If someone knows how to set that up, it would be a very appreciated boost for me and perhaps others 😊
