Mr. Trice
Hi everyone, i have been researching to get a perfect step by step guide on what to add or remove, things to change etc to have a successful upgrade from lower version of prestashop which is (1.6.1.18) to latest version 1.7.x without losing any useful data. The upgrade will be going on while the old site is still live. The link to the old site will be pointed to the new site when all the upgrades are been done successfully and tested. Please i seriously need a help on this. Thank you.

musicmaster
You need new modules and a new theme. The upgrade module of Prestashop should be able to do the job of upgrading. But of course things can go wrong so you should test everything. Experience learns that it often takes considerable time to get everything according to your whishes. You might consider Copy_shopdata to get the latest changes into the new shop.

Your first priority is getting the upgrade to work. Edited July 9, 2020 by musicmaster (see edit history)
