Newshound
No one has been able to checkout from our store since Thursday and there's no sign of PayPal tech support. This is what greets our customers instead of the PayPal merchant payment screen. We're on a modified 1.4. Anyone else had this problem, or should we assume it's just us ? Thank you. Mrs Maggot
We have exactly this, on the payment methods, it tells us to re-configure our link to paypal, when we click on it to do it, paypal says it is successful, but then when we get redirected back to our shop we get "an error occurred while creating your web experience Check your credentials" Unsure if the problem is with Paypal or Prestashop - but no help so far. Newshound
Our (outsourced) webmaster was convinced that it was PayPal rather than Prestashop - or indeed a problem on our own website. I try not to fiddle with settings, but I might just look at payment methods. I'd love to know how widespread this is. Absolutely not good enough. 😡
Mrs Maggot
Paypal seem unable to be contacted, am using their message system which is ridiculously slow, I cannot find an actual customer service number to call them on.
Janett
As the support for this version is now abandoned, I think you will got no help from PrestaShop and PayPal...
Mrs Maggot
Sorry I am unsure of what you mean you are saying that Paypal v5.1.4 - by PrestaShop - is no longer valid? that is the module I have installed in my shop - and I am certain thousands of others too ? There is nothing on the page update to indicate this. Paypal is still listed as an official partner. So do we have to switch to Prestashop checkout v1.5.2 ? You would have thought Prestashop would have told people they were removing a payment method ?

Customer Service said they do not have any link to Technical Support, so that is a waste of time. Did you manage online reporting to technical support and get a ticket number ? Mrs Maggot
Yeah, hopefully that will get answered too, what do you make of what Janett has put about there being no support for it ?

I would agree that there is little you can do with 1.4, eg integrate with couriers, but I was unaware that this would prevent transactions through PayPal merchant. Newshound
Just now, Mrs Maggot said: Yeah, hopefully that will get answered too, what do you make of what Janett has put about there being no support for it ? Probably yes to Prestashop, but I would hope that PayPal would get their act together. Probably just not enough support staff. I complained to the CEO yesterday, but I expect his team were too busy celebrating 4 July. 😡
Mrs Maggot
Just had this message from PayPal I do acknowledge that you're still wondering about this. I believe that this concern was associated with your business account. However, our business specialist can't cater your concern via chat so you need to call them right away. Here's their customer service hotline "0870-730-1881 (Open Mon-Fri 9.00-17.30). So again on Monday I will be hours on the phone getting as far as I did on Friday which was nowhere. It'll cost us thousands and take several months work !
Mrs Maggot
Wow, that is a pain, we are on 1.7.3.0 so I have no idea why ours is not working as that cannot be the reason.
