bnadauld
Out of the blue i got hardly any orders on both of my sites - one is 1.6.1.3 the other is 17.6.6. So i ran test buys. After the product is added to cart (without issue) the user clicks 'proceed to checkout' - it is sooooo slow. I did the usual BS - cleared the cashe (even clearing all files manually in cashe dir). Then, i started fiddling (which is always a terrible idea for me to do). Tried upgrading my knowlegebrand one page check out - which completely broke the 1.6 site. Ended up reuploading a database backup and all the server files i had backed up. Same problem. WTF. Contacted hosting provider - told me all good with the server - but suggested i have java files slowing it down - not sure really as i never touch the site code as i suck at it. Seems odd that both sites would have the same problem at same time??? Could it be related to slow backend issues from Monday? or maybe the javascript issues? I didn't what to start messing with the code like that again. Maybe someone has a bit of info they could share Edited July 4, 2020 by bnadauld (see edit history)
bnadauld
Tried accessing the site via VPN and the issue has been resolved. Maybe a DNS issue with my ISP??? Thanks anyway EDIT: This did not work Edited July 27, 2020 by bnadauld (see edit history)
bnadauld
It was a problem with the Knowband OPC. This is what they said was the issue: Quote Actually the method which we are using in our module to get the country is taking time that's why it takes time to load the page. So we have used a library to get the country to resolve your problem File modified: modules/supercheckout/controllers/front/supercheckout.php Please let us know for any confusion here Looking forward to your response. Regards, Joe Knowband Plugins Team I'll try find out what they changed in the code
bnadauld
The problem was the Know-brands OPC setting in the backoffice. I solved the issue by turning off the 'Enable Auto Detect Country' button
