Send orders directly to suppliers

Hello:

I'm evaluating Prestashop for an online store we are setting up. In it, we don't hold any actual inventory; instead, our supplier network has the products in their own warehouses and do the shipping.

I was looking at the "Suppliers" feature in Prestashop and was wondering whether you could configure it so that orders go directly to suppliers. Each supplier would have their own login and password, and would receive directly emails with orders made for their products.

I realize this sounds too much like a Marketplace, but I was wondering whether this could be done with Prestashop "out of the box", without additional modules. Also, we don't want to feature our suppliers too prominently: in our field, suppliers usually sell wholesale, and what we are trying is to create a new retail sale channel for their products, so it would be all done under our brand. I don't know if you can "hide" suppliers (or make them less prominent) if you configure Prestashop to work as a marketplace.

Can this be done only with the "suppliers" feature?
