Bleep
Hello all, it's been a while since I have posted, but I have a problem. I need to be able to set up shipping per product. For example, the price ranges and weight ranges don't apply because I use three dropshippers with three different carriers. I also I need the shipping charge to be applied every time they add more of the same product. Furthermore, I need this shipping cost to change based upon the attribute changing, this last part I think I can do with the attributes section already. I'm using the latest version of Prestashop. Any ideas or thoughts? I appreciate the assistance. Thank you.
Dave Egerton
It the shipping cost you want to charge the customer the same cost, irrespective of which carrier is used?
Bleep
It the shipping cost you want to charge the customer the same cost, irrespective of which carrier is used? Yes, the shipping cost is fortunately the same for each of the carriers, and that is $7.50. And this has to be charged to each product, and ever time they order more than one. For example, I will be selling posters, and if they buy one poster the total shipping has to be $7.50, and if they buy two, the shipping has to be $15.00. Also if they buy one coffee mug, then $7.50 for shipping. Furthermore, if a customer buys one coffee mug and one poster, then they each have a $7.50 shipping charge, and together they are $15? I think this is straight forward, and like I said before, they may have different carriers since I am drop shipping. Any thoughts on how to do this?On a second note, since I posted this question, I thought about the problem some more and how I could handle it differently. Can't I just set up shipping so that 7.50 gets charged for every item in my store, and increased by 7.50 per each item more that is purchased? Finally, if this isn't possible, as a last resort, I guess I could add the shipping cost into the cost of the product. This way, everytime an item is bought it has the shipping charge built in, and this also works for multiple products?Thoughts anyone? Thank you.And although I have found a few bugs already in the latest version, Prestashop still rules!!

artjunky
Just give every item in your shop the same weight and do it like that. If every item is 1 pound then you can set up your shipping at 1lb - 7.50, 2lb - 15.00, 3lb - 22.50 etc. AJ

artjunky
Back Office - Shipping tab. On the main part of that page it has a spot Handling. Then has handling charges, then free shipping fields. Below that is has Billing: According to total price or According to total weight.

mickey21
Hi,Here : http://www.prestashop.com/forums/viewthread/22848/modules___code_contributions/contribution_shipping_costs_per_item_for_prestashop_1_dot_1there is a very interesting contribution. Possible to configure a shipping fee by product... However, i think it would be more relevant to be able to add the different shipping costs in the cart rather than taking the "maximum".... maybe this contribution must be improved. Being able to fill-in two or three different "shipping costs" according to the zones, and the contribution would be perfect and be the issue for everyone interested by shipping per item.If an expert of php have an idea ....Have a nice day...
