mashexclusive Posted April 11, 2011 Share Posted April 11, 2011 can anyone help me with this pleasewhen a customer places an order, normally a confirmation email would be sent to the customer and i used to get an email regarding the order. I'm currently on v1.4.3.0, and emails aren't sent for order confirmation or status change...even the "tell a friend" emails get an error.I have MailAlerts activated.I created an email account that matches the domain name (after reading that that could have an effect).The test email from Preferences > Email works fine.Have tried these fixes to no avail:http://www.presto-changeo.com/en/content/9-fix-email-problemsAm hosted with GoDaddy.Help?! jennybeaumont Posted July 12, 2011 Share Posted July 12, 2011 I was able to solve my problem by switching from PHP mail() to SMTP - took a while to find the right SMTP info from my host, but once I did, it solved all my problems!
