acmegeek
I'm just testing out PrestaShop 1.4.0.17 on my server, a quad-core dedicated server with plenty of ram.My server is running: Apache/2.2.17 (Unix) mod_ssl/2.2.17 OpenSSL/0.9.8e-fips-rhel5 mod_auth_passthrough/2.1 mod_bwlimited/1.4 FrontPage/5.0.2.2635 PHP/5.3.6 It is not a public site, but since I put it up a couple weeks ago, just playing with it, it has been generating tens, no hundreds of thousands of requests for itself, constantly. It is requesting a path of /, nothing else. The user-agent is PHP, and there is no referrer. It is doing something with logging, stats, or something else, and I haven't been able to trace it down yet. Is there something obvious that I'm missing? Nothing obvious in the apache logs. Nothing obvious in the error logs either. I haven't dug into the PS code enough to figure out what's going on, but if anyone has any ideas, please let me know. Thanks! acmegeek
FYI... I just disabled the RSS Feed Block and RSS Products Feed modules, and the mystery requests went away. I don't think I had configured anything there, but for now, that seems to have calmed things down. Very odd, literally hundreds of thousands of requests for / from PHP over the last couple weeks.
