Installing Presta in background whilst main site still functioning.

Hello, I am am a newbie to this app.

I have progressed things significantly after installation. I have a good idea s to how to progress things.

However what I would like to be able to do is install prestashop and set it all up in the background so that at a particular point I can launch the store. Up until that point I want the existing main site to continue to be there rather than the deactivated presta page.

This may be something which is explained somewhere in the manuals but I couldn't find it. Apologies if its an obvious thing I am missing.
