Switch Carrier after order.

I thought i'd seen it in earlier PS versions, but i maight be wrong.

Now if a client chooses for a carrier, it can not be changed fromout the backend (as far as i can see)

It would be good that it can be changed in the backend, if we decide to send it with another carrier.

Main reason for me is that we use a parcel service company, who picks up the goods, and then delivers it either to GLS, DPD, UPS or other.
It depends on the weight and country which one they use for some countries. For that i configured the shipping option for parcel service, and after adding the shipment in their system i can see with which carrier it goes.
At that point i'd like to switch it either to DPD, UPS, GLS or whatever, sothat the tracking can be done in the customers account in the frontend.

Is there a way to make it switchable?
