Unable to update product "Condition"

Hello,

OK So I just installed Prestashop 1.7 on my local machine / localhost and I added a few "standard" products to one of the available categories.  However I noticed I am unable to change the product condition from "New" to any other condition. When I change it, save and refresh the front end, it does not update.

I also try to change the condition of one of the existing products and it still does not work.  There were 2 warnings that i ignored during installation so I am not sure if this is the cause.

1. to get the latest internationalization data to upgrade...

2. php accelerator - install / enable

 

I am using a Window 7 Pro system with XAMP installed - details below.
