Why are category banners so broken?

How on earth do you get category banners to fill the entire div they're designed for - this shouldn't be so hard.

Whomever thought the custom theme looked good with black text on a white background in a div on a white background page needs to have their head inspected. That is bad graphic design.

The best workaround I've got for now is to add the image to the product description field and set width and height to 100%. I would like to be able to fill the entire white div if anyone knows how.

Guess you need to change the default size at Design->Images

and adjust this CSS in your custom.css

    width: 141px;
    height: 180px;
}
