jsherk
HiJust installed v1.4 (new install) and have been playing around. I noticed that when I add a product, it slides across the screen and gets added to the cart on the right hand side, but when I clicked on either CART (view cart) or CHECKOUT, then it changes screens and and says Your Shopping Cart is Empty.Under Preferences > URLS I have these settings:Shop Domain Name = www.mydomain.com (with www for http)Shop Domain Name for SSL = mydomain.com (without www for https)I cannot change the SSL domain since our ssl certificate does not include the www.Workaround solution:So what I did to workaround the problem was, I removed the www from the non-ssl Shop Domain Name, so both Shop Domain Name and Shop Domain Name for SSL = mydomain.com (no www for either). My ultimate preference would be to have the regular store use the www and the ssl checkout pages use non-www, but the above is an acceptable solution that worked for me until this bug (is it a bug?) is fixed. Thanks
phunter121
Very useful thanks - this solved my problem.I am wondering if doing this has wider problems or not. Particularly if you are moving an existing website to a new presta site.I can't think of any, but if anyone can, perhaps they can post.
UKclearancecentre
I too am having this problem with 1.4 but the issue can't be resolved for us with changing the www because our ssl cert is for our .com domain while our main website is on the .co.uk domainSo when a customer visits the site on the co.uk domain they can add the items to their shopping cart but when they go to checkout and the https .com domain is used it shows their cart as being emptyI have tried all combinations of with an without www on the domain names but it doesn't solve it. I have also tried turning off front office security incase that was the cause of the issue but without any success. Is there any solution to our problem other than buying an SSL cert for our co.uk domain or using the .com domain throughout the site (which i dont really want to do as we are listed in google under the co.uk domain)
