“SyntaxError: Unexpected token < in JSON at position 0” - 1.7.6.5

After upgrading to 1.7.6.5 coming from 1.7.6.4 my site became very unstable and loading time is very painful.

At first I thought it was maybe the server and transferring my shop to a new one would solve the issue. When restoring the DB I came across this issue

“SyntaxError: Unexpected token < in JSON at position 0”

This is preventing me from transferring the store to a new server, making me think. Maybe this error is the cause why the store is performing poor.

Does anyone know how to check detect what is causing:“SyntaxError: Unexpected token < in JSON at position 0”

and now how to solve?
