Size dropdown on front page?

Hi all - wondering if you can help...

At the moment - a lot of my customers put their size in the search box at the top eg: "40R".

Is there any way I can put a little box in the home page with a drop down of the popular sizes?

I'm a .Net developer by trade so for example I would probably add a dropdownlist which has list items with the size and the link to the search results for that search query as the value.

Any help greatly appreciated.

Anyone have any ideas? Would like to get this done before a mailout I am sending on Sunday.

Even if someone could point me in the direction of how to get some php code on the front page and I can try and code it myself.
