trying to login to adminshop backend gives @this account does not exist@

I setup prestashop and I can see the default template fine however when I try to login to the back end (adminshop/login.php) I get the error,"There is 1 error 1. This account does not exist", I've tired to reset the password
but I get the same error when I submit my email address. I have two email adresses it could be but I always get the
same error message no matter what I do, please advise I've products to sell.
