New theme, old settings?

Good morning, day or evening to you all (depending on when you're reading this)

I've done some work on the classic theme that comes as a default with prestashop. But now I want to try out a new paid theme. So my question is if all the products, categories and overall changes will follow into the new installed theme or if it doesn't work that way?

If it doesn't work then its not the whole world but it would save me the weekend from doing the same thing again.

HI there,

Products, categories, shipping methods etc are global settings and are not affected by a theme change. So all of that will remain as it is. However, there are certain things that will be. Any theme related change you made to the classic one will not be adopted by the new theme. Emails might have to be copied manually or when the new theme is installed. Some translations might be affected as well.
