Backoffice text not how it is suppose to be

Recommended Posts

Hi there, after a few problems along the way I managed to install prestashop. However this happens, the text is not correctly placed, dropboxes show all the information below and can't change to a specific one, some text boxes can't be selected to write something on them.

I have installed over and over and keeps happening the same, installing older versions did not work. I was using xampp then tried with UniServer Zero and the same happens on both.

If someone can help it would be amazing, since this is for college I kinda need a solution fast.

If you have server root access, than you can install via sudo apt-get. If you are not the server administrator, you should ask him to do it for you.

I am on a localhost, how exacly do I do sudo apt-get?

What means localhost for you ? Local install (XAMPP), or a live server (LAMP) ?

I was using Xampp, now I am using UniServer. If you can tell me a solution for either it would be nice

I'ts a local install or a live server ? For WAMP Servers which UniServer is based on you need to follow their tutorials for to install extra php-versions. BTW you will never put Prestashop run into a Windows server really optimally. The problem of windows are the permissions, which cannot be really fine tuned as like Prestashop needs.

I am on Windows, that means that I can't fully work with Prestashop how it is suppose to? If yes what do you advise

As I told before. Windows server are not really compatible operating system for Prestashop. After one year on Windows Server as root administrator I gave up. Prestashop is programmed for to work on linux machines. It needs better writing/reading permissions which cannot be fine tuned on windows server. For linux you can fine tune the properties/permissions per file. On Windows you set properties only globally.

If you want to test Prestashop locally install virtualbox and then install and configure one of the linux distributions you can download from bitnami for ex. as pre-configured LAMP package, or as Prestashop ready to use package.

I guess I understand what you are saying, but I will try testing php7.2, if that doesn't work than I will have to figure it out.

Thank you for your time
