Modify Payment Modules

I am trying to modify the payment methods.

I had successfully modify and change through translate module. (The Green Area)

But I want to ,

1. change the URL, want to replace "cheque" with something else on URL (the red circle)

2. add an image in the red box area. I tried to modify almost all files in (cheque, bank wire, cash on delivery) without success.

FYI, I tried to install the Free Universal Payment Module without success. Nothing in module after I uploaded
