Single or few product themes...

Recommended Posts

Hi All,

I'm trying to find modern and updated themes that are made for companies with very few, if not a single product.  We are coming from Magento 1.9 with a custom theme and we are thinking of moving to PrestaShop but can't seem to find a theme that is responsive, amp, seo optimized and most importantly made for single or few products.  I know there are some very nice themes out there but most are made for and assume, 50 if not 500 products are going to be sold.

Shopify seems to get it, many shopify stores are selling less than 20 items, yet all the other ecoms think, "if we ONLY cater to 1,000+ companies, we will be rich!" yet Shopify is kicking their butts... why because they understand there is power in those single product companies.  They even have a dedicated section for "Small Inventory"... where is that for Magento or PrestaShop?

So, where can I find themes for "small inventory"???

Hi and thank you for the reply.  While I understand that I can "customize" to a single/few products I haven't seen any theme that is made for it.  Take the lovely theme that you linked to, check out the product page and now make it display a single product... you end up with one small, odd looking square all by itself and a lot of blank space.  (see attached)

This is where PrestaShop, in my opinion, needs to step it up and appeal to the TONS of small startups and small businesses that are only offering a single or few products.

Any input or thoughts on this?  How easy is it to make/convert to a PrestaShop theme is I get a theme or provide a theme that I want?  Maybe it's an opportunity for me to take and have a bunch of single product themes made and start charging for them. 😉

Thanks,

Charlie

You are more than welcome look at my website http://Cling less.com (remove the space, I don't want search engines to index it here.) there click on products, note how it displays the three shapes of the products, then in the menu or from the product page click a shape, there we offer the colors as sub-products for SEO reasons, lastly click on the color and you get the actual product page.

Yes, none of it is pretty as it should be and the images on the product page aren't set to the right Max size.   I'm not here for critiques, as I did this myself and positive you creative can do a ton better job, but you get the gist of it, three products without having the same old boring "3 column layout" (in my best boring robot voice).

I offer one product, 3 shapes and various colors.  From an SEO prospective, I need either tons of blog BS, I'm not a writer, or have various pages on the product, hence; Product page, dedicate shape page, color and shape page, detail product page, or 4 pages of SEO content opportunities, for each shape and color or in my situation; 10 pages. (3*3+1 as all shapes share the same Product page).  I offer a "Buy Now" in the menu and prefer a "Buy Now" on all pages via Mouse-Over/Layer but that's a different discussion.

So this what I'm searching for, creative single/few product design templates that understand that  "3 column layout" doesn't work when you only have 1,2 or just 3 products.

Thoughts, input and tips are welcomed.

Thanks in advance.

Hi,

Why  not   build   a  custom  theme?

Nice idea if you got the knowledge to do that. For me it would consume a lot of time since I am new.

And if you just launch a new single product which might cost around 10 bucks... you can imagine i dont have the money to pay someone to build it especially for me. 🙂
