FTP links on images and products import, how?

I have file from my vendor, with links on images like ftp://78.140.160.199/foto/kasablanka_02_pryamoy.jpg, if open in browser all ok, but import script does not load these images, why?

 

I have prestashop 1.6.1

What import script are you using? The default Prestashop import? If so, I don't think Prestashop left the ability to import the files through browser ftp, but more like http version, which in your case is timed out.
