Problem importing to ShipStation - SSL issue out of nowhere

Has anyone else experienced this? I'm running the latest PS 1.6, and with no changes to the site or server I am all of the sudden getting the following error when ShipStation is trying to connect to the site to import orders:

"We received an error testing the PrestaShop store: The request was aborted: Could not create SSL/TLS secure channel."

The SSL cert is active and working fine, and passed the tests at ssllabs.com so we know it's not the certificate itself.

The webservice is properly set up and ShipStation has the right key and URL.

The proper .htaccess file is in the webservice directory and the public_html root .htaccess is fine.

ShipStation doesn't seem to know what's going on, and neither does our web host, who tried everything they could to troubleshoot. No ShipStation IPs are being blocked.

Anyone experience something like this with PrestaShop and ShipStation? I am beginning to think it's some weird glitch on the ShipStation end that they haven't been able to locate. I am trying to escalate the ticket to their engineering team or someone beyond standard customer support.
