Download PS from server to local Mamp server

Hi

Please, please, please can someone can help me as Prestashop is driving me crazy - there's hardly any documentation for anything available and I can't find anything at all for transferring a site from a web server to a local host.

All I want to do is copy my site from my webserver to my local MAMP server

I have changed the file ap/config/parametres.php

'database_host' => 'localhost',
    'database_port' => '',
    'database_name' => 'nameofdatabase',
    'database_user' => 'root',
    'database_password' => 'root',
    'database_prefix' => 'pre5488_',

I've also changed the tables for the shop url but nothing works.

Has anyone got any step-by-step instructions that can help me?
