simonsimon
Hello!I need to set up a shop that sells downloads, and am trying out Prestashop. Looking great so far, except that the actual download of the file is failing, saying that maximum number of attempts are reached - on first attempt!I set the product's price to 0 for test purposes and bought it. The first screen after checkout is a list of my orders. When I followed the links to download what I just bought, I'm getting a javascript alert saying max number of attempts reach. Am using version 1.1.Any ideas? Very grateful for any help. Thanks,Simon
simonsimon
PSI found that the reason for this was that the filename in the database for some reason was different from the file on disk. Re-uploading it solved it, but the question is why it was wrong. Has anyone else had this problem or was this a freak one-off bug?
Guest
Looks like you are not the first one with this issue, I can recall that I seen another thread about that...
Natalie
I'm having the same problem, but only on some files. Customers will email me telling me they can't download their product. I tried deleting and re-uploading the product (seems logical) but it didn't work for me. The only thing that works is to delete the entire product and enter it again, which skews stats and makes it appear as a new item when it's not. Still better than annoyed customers who won't come back! I'll be anxious to see an explanation (and fix) for this.
