Filters and categories display issue on mobile devices

Hi,

 

New to prestashop I have used the base template however am getting a fairly ordinary display on mobile  as is displayed here :

I have two questions :

The filters is displayed to the right of the products column and is thus pushing them to the side.  How can I reposition this module or better turn it off ->  as there doesnt seem to be any mobile device specific positions?

 

Why wouldn't the categories module display automatically on the module.  (the same page on desktop displays wonderfully with the categories in a left hand column)?
