I am having the exact same issue. The installation keeps failing at 67% (Install addons modules). I tried to increase the PHP settings as suggested but it still doesn't work. This is very frustrating... Trying to install the latest version (1.7.6.7). What else can I try? I have attached the error_log file with what seems to be the issue.
