home text editor image uploaded in jpg - change to upload in png?

can anyone tell me how to change the home text editor to upload images in png not jpg. I uploaded one image which was a png but got turned into a jpg. How to change it to always upload in png at BO.

I'll give you a quick solution.

1) upload the file using FTP to /modules/editorial/image.png
2) edit /modules/editorial/editoral.tpl and change the image from homapag_logo.jpg to the new name you chose
