sciencefare
In an attempt to have my shop images appear without an image background, I've been using .png or .gif images which allow transparency. PrestaShop seems to convert all images to .jpg by default. Is there an override for this? Thanks! -sciencefare

ramblingrose
If you look through the source files you will see that the JPG extension is hardcoded so no backdoor or easy way for the moment to use transparent GIF or PNG I am afraid. The logic to support the other formats seems to be there though so hopefully it is just a matter of (short) time :bug:
Dirty Bill
You can change the extension of your png or gif file to jpg and PShop will read it correctly (usually). Kind of a cheesy way to handle images considering all the effort that has gone into the layers of abstraction for this thing...the good news is, it will work.
