Paypal Pro On Prestashop 1.4 - is it available

Recommended Posts

Hi, I have prestashop 1.4 which comes with paypal v2.4 which I have set up and working, at the moment its set up on the stanard way where the customer selects paypal and then is taken to the paypal site and can either pay with the paypal acocunt or put the card details in.

At the moment my setting are set to "Payments by credit cards: CB , Visa, Mastercard and PayPal account"

What I want to know is I have paypal pro installed on another cart, malls ecommerce and the customer fills in the delivery details as with prestashop and then selects which payment they want to use.

Now this is the bit I need for prestashop, there then is an option to pay by paypal and then another option to pay by credit / debit card. If they select pay by credit card then the payment is processed on your website they fill in the card details and it is processed by paypal but the customer does not no this. So basicaly looks like your using a normal merchant account like sagepay etc.

Now ther an option on the setting in on the paypal module which says "Payments by cards + seller protection* (PayPal Integral Evolution, monthly subscription)"

Does anyone no is there is to use with paypal pro and if this is what it does.

Thanks all, really could do with this.

I use this module (got it developped by egrove, they now sell it...anywayyy..)
I just posted about the possible fraud issues with Paypal payment pro.
I would possibly look at other options if you can. Given the conversations I have had recenty with Paypal i think there is major issues with their security on the pro service if fraud management is not purchased.

Hi All ---

I have been looking at PrestaShop for a long time and after extensive reviews and use of other systems I believe Presta is the best out there. Its back-end is especially nice! Anyway, the major stopping point for me (I'm in the USA) is the lack of support for PayPal Website Payments Pro. I have been waiting and watching for a good quality module to be developed by Presta directly or another source. I noticed two things recently, QuayCreative now has a module as stated in this thread and also in the Presta newsletter sent out today they are mentioning a "premium version of the PayPal module".

Two questions, has anyone used the QuayCreative module and what do you think of its reliability and security? I have been uncomfortable with other third-party modules in the past mostly due to comments from others on this forum. Second question, does anyone know what Presta is talking about in regards to a premium module?

Thanks in advance for any help or insights anyone can offer!

-Dan
